Financial Accountant – Scunthorpe – Hybrid

Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the nominal ledger including posting of all journal entries and reconciliation of all control accounts
- Responsibility for all entries and reconciliation of all bank accounts, including initiating payments for approval
- Work with the project managers and ops team to ensure the sales invoices are produced in a timely manner and to track and trace any late payments to ensure cash management
- Production of weekly cashflows, predominantly around the timing of purchase ledger payments
- Processing of expenses and credit cards
- Fixed asset management, including disposals
- Assist with annual budgeting process
- Ad-hoc financial accounting requirements, including annual returns
- On an ad-hoc basis offering support to the finance team to cover holidays and sickness
Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Similar varied accounting role including in a similar high-volume position
- IT literate including excel and accounting packages
- Ability to work well as a team within a group environment
