HR ADMIN - INSIDE IR35 - £16 PER HOUR - PAYE - 12 MONTHS - STEVENAGE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

MERITUS are recruiting for a HR Admin to join our client within the Defence industry on an initial 12 month contract in Stevenage.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Admin to join our team on behalf of our confidential defence client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources administration, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. This role is crucial in supporting the HR department's daily operations and ensuring smooth HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, managing HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides), and updating internal databases.
  • Recruitment Support: Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment contracts.
  • Employee Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive necessary information and resources to integrate smoothly into the organization.
  • Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with legal standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of compliance reports.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organising company events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration or a similar role.

  • Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the defence or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
