Job Description: As a van driver at Gilbert Laurence Ltd, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods to various destinations. This role is suited for someone who enjoys being on the road, has a strong sense of responsibility, and provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport goods to customer locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the vehicle, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and ensure it is mechanically sound.
- Report any incidents or accidents to the management.
- Follow routes and time schedules.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle.
- Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints.
Requirements:
- Valid professional UK driver's license.
- Good driving record.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job including heavy lifting.
