Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Salary: £46,000 - £51,000 base depending on experience
A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a key position in a fast-paced, high-output environment where uptime and efficiency are critical. The role offers long-term stability and continued investment in equipment, training, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed production line machinery.
- Diagnose, repair and improve faults in control systems, sensors, drives, and PLCs
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site procedures.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records, fault logs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within FMCG, or other high-speed manufacturing.
- Confident working with fault-finding and repairs on PLC-controlled machinery, HMI interfaces, drives, and control panels.
- Ability to work independently and within a structured maintenance team.
- Strong awareness of health & safety and proactive in delivering safe engineering practices.
