The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a specialist service business with offices in Bedford.
The Role
As Assistant Management Accountant you will take responsibility for timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions supporting the Finance Manager. Day to day duties will consist of:
- Preparation of monthly payroll
- Updating pension records
- Preparation of tax computations
- Compiling and filing of VAT submissions
- Assist in he preparation of management accounts
- Preparing journals including payroll, fixed assets and debtors and creditors
- Preparation of the annual financial statements
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- BACS payments
- Covering the Finance Assistant when required
Your profile
You will ideally be AAT Qualified or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified with the ability to work on initiative alone and as part of a team. It is essential that you will have experience of producing management accounts and ideally have exposure to payroll with a good working knowledge of excel.
