IT Support Apprentice

Summary of job:

Responsible for 1st level Infrastructure support and services within Global IT consisting of several countries.

This position works closely with other IT departments for problem resolution.

It is responsible for maintaining service level agreements set by the organization for IT problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Install/uninstall, troubleshoot, data recovery and maintain applications, products and equipment
  • Escalate incidents to next level support when the solution is unknown or cannot be solved within defined time frames
  • Implementation/Installation and administration/maintenance of IT services with focus on availability, reliability and manageability following Paul Hartmann IT standard processes in coordination with responsible IT management
  • Active contribution to Service Desk Team activities where required and to KB (create documentation where required)
  • Provide support to external customers who use Hartmann's digital applications
  • Ensure standards of infrastructure hardware and software
  • Support implementation of new and/or improved IT processes following Paul Hartmann IT standards
  • Identify, analyse and repair equipment failures, order and replace parts/material as needed

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
