Job Title: Recruitment Resourcer Apprentice
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: In line with the National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage or employer's rate
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Apprenticeship (typically 12 to 18 months)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to: Recruitment Manager
Apprenticeship Level: Level 2 or Level 3 Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship (based on experience)

**Job Purpose:

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in recruitment. Based in Welwyn Garden City, you will work as part of a supportive recruitment team while gaining hands-on experience and completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification. You will learn how to identify and engage candidates, support the recruitment process, and build valuable employability and communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:

As part of your apprenticeship and daily work, you will:

  • Support in sourcing and attracting suitable candidates via job boards, social media, and internal databases.
  • Assist in writing and posting job adverts that are clear, inclusive, and engaging.
  • Help screen applications and carry out initial telephone interviews.
  • Learn to coordinate interviews and liaise with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Keep candidate records up to date using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Communicate with candidates in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Attend careers events and outreach activities to help promote apprenticeship roles.
  • Learn about recruitment legislation, safeguarding, and GDPR.
  • Complete apprenticeship training and assignments on time.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute positively to group tasks and discussions.

**Person Specification:

Essential:

  • A genuine interest in recruitment, people, and supporting others into employment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, with the ability to manage your time and priorities
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback
  • Comfortable using email, Word documents, and basic IT tools

Desirable:

  • Previous customer service or administrative experience
  • Knowledge or awareness of what apprenticeships are and how they work
  • Friendly, confident, and enthusiastic about developing new skills

**Qualifications Required:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
  • If not held, you must be willing to work towards these qualifications during the apprenticeship
