IT Support Apprentice

Our client is an expanding managed service provider with offices in Dorset, Wiltshire and Cheshire.

They are looking for an IT Support Technician Apprentice to join their team in Warrington.

The role will involve providing a full range of technical advice, support and practical assistance to clients, both remotely and occasionally onsite.

Duties:

  • Taking details of support queries by telephone, email, and person on occasion. Logging these on the service desk portal
  • Provide 1st Line IT Support
  • Create and maintain procedures for new and existing processes
  • Update online knowledge bases
  • Work closely with external partners to resolve IT-related issues
  • Utilize the ticket system to accurately log, manage, document, and resolve IT issues in line with the Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Skills:

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software
  • The ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • Good communication skills including written and verbal
  • Flexible and eager to learn

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday 9.00 to 17.30 with an hour for lunch.
