Shipping Coordinator

You will be responsible for controlling, planning and monitoring the export load, delivering quality service to the customers and vendors, and ensuring ISO/QA compliance.

Key functions of the role are:

  • Manage the export load process, from planning to execution, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality
  • Communicate and co-ordinate effectively with customers and vendors, and provide them with high-quality service and cost-effective solutions
  • Generate and share weekly reports on asset type status and inventory integrity, and follow up with relevant departments for corrective actions
  • Identify and resolve any service issues or queries arising from customer or terminal control, and implement preventive measures
  • Maintain ISO/QA standards and compliance in daily operations, documentation and MDC job order creation

The ideal candidate will need:

This team suits analytical people with the ability to problem solve and coordinate, in the past candidates with a degree in Economics or Business management have worked very well as does anyone with some previous shipping experience.

  • Work as part of a close team and independently as required.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Has excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure when required.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills.
