Social Worker - Child Protection Court Team

P4 Recruitment is seeking experienced Social Workers to join our client's team on a journey of improvement and restorative practice. You will work within the Child Protection Court Team, using your expertise in statutory social care to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in Herefordshire.

You'll bring your knowledge to this fast-paced team and collaborate with colleagues from various professions to ensure the voice of the child is always heard.

As a fully qualified social worker (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent) with at least two years of statutory experience, you will manage a complex caseload, write comprehensive reports, and provide oral evidence in court to advocate for children's best interests.

About the Team:

The Child Protection and Court Teams are based in the heart of Hereford. Each team consists of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers. You will work from the main offices with the flexibility for home working .

We take a restorative approach to social work, focusing on collaboration with families to improve outcomes for their children. Our team culture is supportive, with regular supervision and a management team that is always available for case discussions.

Social Workers work closely with the Legal Team to complete Court applications , with additional support from Court Progression Officers to ensure all necessary timescales are met.
