Job Overview

The Sales Coordinator role is a key position as it is the link between what the Customer needs and informing Operations when they need it. Sales Coordinators are responsible for the customer's journey through the business including call-offs, delivery dates, and post-delivery CS issues.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Liaising within construction site managers regarding order for delivery i.e. staircases for specific plots
  • Working with internal departments - Customer Services (part of the same office) they actually process the orders and transport to let them know what needs to be delivered, when & where
  • Deal with any issues regarding orders not available - perhaps the site manager hasn't planned the orders enough in advance for them to be built on time
  • Updating internal systems and working off internal systems regarding order completion
  • Deals with queries via email, telephone and App
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers through a proactive approach to Customer Service
  • Resolving all Customer Service queries promptly and any that can't be diverted to the correct department or person
  • Answering inbound calls in a timely and professional manner and knowing how to use in house systems to relay information back to the Customer
  • Support other departments in managing the flow of information throughout the business by keeping in house CRM up to date
  • Achieving and working to set KPIs for the role

Qualifications & Skills

Previous Customer Service, Product or Industry knowledge is preferred but not essential as this can all be trained. Our client is focused more on getting the right person that includes soft skills such as;

  • Ability to process a lot of information accurately and have an eye for detail
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and always maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written, oral communication and listening skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation is essential
  • Enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, and ability to adapt to change
  • Eagerness to learn internally but also have a willingness to learn about the business and product offering independently
