Learning and Development Manager

  • Part-time: 21 hours per week
  • Location: Oxford/Flexible & Hybrid working with parking
  • Salary: £48,800 FTE

We are currently representing a client who is seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Manager to spearhead the creation of a comprehensive training and development framework. This pivotal role will contribute to the charity's mission of supporting the farming community by ensuring the organisation continues to evolve and remains an exceptional place to work.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to assess and address employee learning requirements, and deliver impactful learning solutions.
  • Develop a Learning & Development strategy in partnership with senior managers, aligning with the charity's overarching goals.
  • Implement and refine a performance management framework that promotes a culture of regular performance reviews and supports organisational objectives.
  • Drive culture change initiatives, ensuring alignment with the charity's values and desired behaviours.
  • Support organisational change through coaching, mentoring, and the promotion of an inclusive and learning-focused culture.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of organisational development interventions, ensuring they are cost-effective and have a measurable impact.
  • Lead the enhancement of induction and onboarding programmes to cultivate a workforce that embodies the charity's values.
  • Assist HR with people management training and support managers in workforce planning to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support HR initiatives and meet organisational goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in L&D/Organisational Development, with a minimum of two years in the charity sector or a similar non-profit organisation.
  • A solid understanding of organisational development principles and practices.
  • Capability to operate at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid UK driving license.

Desirable:

  • L&D qualification (e.g., CIPD).
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of the farming industry.
  • Skills in process improvement.
