We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in Family Safeguarding Teams in West Lancashire, managing all elements of statutory social work in a fast paced team, working with and alongside children and their families.

The successful candidate must have substantial experience.

Placement between 3 - 6 months. Starting date - ASAP- flexible working arrangements.

We aim for caseloads to be between 15 and 22 (depending the function you are working in).

We pay your mileage and we have a time of in lieu policy.

We currently take a hybrid approach to our work; we mainly work from home but there are opportunities to come together as a team when required.

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
