Role Summary:

Are you a skilled and experienced Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team? We are currently seeking Machinists to join our thriving Machining team in Wolverhampton. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing high-quality components using CNC machines. This is a temporary role with a contract length of 6 months, offering an attractive salary of £22.30 per hour plus shift allowance.

Key Accountabilities:

Utilise your expertise to set up and operate a range of CNC machines including CNC Lathes, CNC Mill/Turn, CNC 3, 4 and 5 axis Milling, CNC External and Internal Grinders, and Surface Grinders.
Ensure that material, process layout, and drawings are at the correct issue.
Assess manufactured features for conformance to requirements and address any non-conformances.
Implement the most effective manufacturing methods to increase efficiencies and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
Control, operate, and maintain stock control systems and equipment.
Assist in quality control systems and investigations, participating in non-conformance reviews.
actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean events, workshops, and activities.
Perform all activities in compliance with EH&S Procedures of the organisation.
Efficiently transport materials, tools, equipment, and work-in-progress within the manufacturing cells.

Person Specification:

A deep understanding of CNC setting and operating skills in a precision engineering environment, with experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Studer similar controls.
Hold an NVQ Level 3 certification as an apprentice trained machinist.
Proficiency in operating a variety of CNC machines.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, embodying the organisation's Operating Principles of People, Integrity, Ideas, and Performance.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Experience in a New Product Introduction environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
