Production Manager

Job Description

  • Strategy and Vision: Implement best practices, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance. Contribute to manufacturing strategy and vision.
  • Production Management: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production targets, ensuring customer specifications are met. Update production plans and liaise with other departments to meet targets.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, manage, and motivate a high-performing manufacturing team. Handle recruitment, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote lean manufacturing techniques, conduct root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement activities. Support engineering changes, production trials, and product changes.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate effectively with other departments, customers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Reporting and Performance: Report on target achievements and identify actions required. Manage manufacturing budgets and contribute to setting and achieving department KPIs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records for payroll, attendance, and training. Conduct team meetings and briefings.
