About the 1st Line Support Engineer Role:
As a 1st Line Support Engineer, the individual will be the first point of contact for clients, providing essential IT support and troubleshooting services. Primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls, responding to emails, and logging incidents, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Provide clear and effective communication with clients, ensuring they are kept informed of progress.
- Escalate complex issues to 2nd Line Support or relevant teams when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support interactions.
- Assist with user account setup and management.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks.

- Previous experience in a 1st Line Support or similar IT support role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
