L&D Specialist

Hoop PS and HR are thrilled to be working on behalf of a unique and dynamic organisation located in the Rhondda Cynon Taff, who are seeking a highly experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will be adept at implementing and delivering training across a large organisation, with a particular focus on projects such as Net Zero and e-learning. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and make a significant impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and monitor effective L&D solutions across the business, ensuring they align with the company's strategic vision.
  • Develop, evolve, and maintain various L&D programmes and interventions to meet the team's development needs.
  • Deliver inspiring and engaging learning experiences through a range of methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, e-learning, webinars, and more.
  • Embed a 70:20:10 learning model to maximise learning effectiveness.
  • Use outputs from training needs analysis and PDP reviews to develop comprehensive learning solutions that support both individual and organisational growth.
  • Lead L&D activities for assigned projects including Net-Zero, Talent Management, e-learning, Leadership & Management, and Customer Experience.
  • Provide monthly reports on the success of all learning initiatives, monitor feedback, and suggest improvements.
  • Organise training venues, logistics, transport, and accommodation to ensure efficient training attendance and delivery.
  • Promote and communicate L&D activities in line with agreed development plans.
  • Ensure all L&D delivery meets professional standards and enhances the learning experience.
  • Consistently consider customer impact and ROI on all learning activities, supporting the business's EVP.
  • Undertake any other reasonable projects or duties as requested by the line manager.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in implementing and delivering training across large organisations.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong focus on Net Zero and e-learning initiatives.
  • Experience with a variety of learning methods and interventions.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage logistics and ensure efficient training delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor and report on training effectiveness.
  • Access to a vehicle due to site inaccessibility via public transport.
