As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this Financial Controller role are:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Lead the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and department heads.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Requirements

The key requirements for this Financial Controller role are:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Degree in relevant field e.g. accountancy, business, economics etc.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
