About the role:

Created through promotion, and reporting to the HR Services Manager, you will deliver exceptional people support to our teams across the UK, US, and Australia offices, as well as the shipboard teams across Retail Operations.

Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2/3 days per week

Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and administer the end-to-end employee lifecycle ensuring all employees receive a great experience and an efficient service, including new starter and leaver processes
  • Assist with the monthly payroll process and the management of employee benefits and pension schemes
  • Respond to employees and managers as the first point of contact for general HR queries
  • Maintain the HR system (Bamboo), providing basic reports and ensuring accurate employee records
  • Develop and maintain people-related policies and procedures
  • Handle maternity, paternity, Shared Parental Leave and adoption processes and queries
  • Manage and advise on probationary reviews, changes to contractual terms, and return-to-work reviews
  • Work with heads of departments to capture and analyse holiday and absence data
  • Contribute to HR and cross-functional projects that grow our people capability, develop the HR function, and add value to our business

About you:

  • Previous HR experience and knowledge of employee relations, UK employment law and HR policy/procedural best practice
  • Experience of running an in-house payroll
  • Proactive and organised with strong administrative skills and a great eye for detail
  • Completion of relevant qualifications (CIPD Level 3) and exposure to US/Australia employment law or retail experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
