Shifts: 6.30am - 2.30pm | 1.30pm - 10pm | 6.30pm - 3am
Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our warehouse facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all staff and inventory. This role is based at Stansted Airport so working within an aviation enviroment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Clean and Orderly Spaces: Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and orderly at all times.
- Floor Cleaning: Perform regular sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of floors to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Work Area Tidiness: Clean and organize work areas to meet inspection requirements and company standards.
- Surface Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces to preserve a professional appearance and minimize infection risks.
- Fixture Maintenance: Remove dust from fixtures and maintain their appearance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Follow procedures to maintain and clean warehouse equipment.
- Polishing: Polish glass, mirrors, and metal items to a high standard of shine.
- Stock Movement: Assist in moving stock by hand, using a forklift truck, or other lifting gear as needed.
- Carpet and Floor Care: Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard floors to keep all surfaces clean.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is essential.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift and move items as required.
Work Environment:
This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. The work environment is primarily within a warehouse setting, where maintaining cleanliness and safety is essential.
You must already have or be able to go through a basic DBS check. You must also hold full RTW in the UK.
