People Partner

The Privy Purse and Treasurer's Office is one of the five Royal Household departments and is made up of core business functions such as Finance, Digital, Sustainability, Property and HR. As People Partner for this varied and dynamic department, you will have a fascinating opportunity to utilise and expand your HR skills.

You'll partner with a variety of senior managers and leaders to provide expert HR advice and guidance across a variety of people management activities, whilst also supporting the development and implementation of longer term people plans.

In a department that is always evolving and responding to the changing needs of the organisation, you will be adept at spotting opportunities and supporting local-level change that will have an organisational impact.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Strategic Partnering - Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior managers to ensure you can influence decision-making, drive performance and help shape the people agenda.
  • Leading on the identification of people issues and solutions - Building an understanding of each team's priorities, people and culture in order to provide bespoke HR solutions and advice. This will include complex casework, consultation, senior appointments, reward and organisation design.
  • Embedding culture change - Act as a change agent to help embed organisational culture change programmes, taking account of local requirements and tailoring solutions to meet their needs. This will include diversity and inclusion, succession planning and employee engagement.
  • Data and Insights - to utilise our existing systems and data to provide valuable insights into people issues and drive appropriate decision making and action.
  • HR Team - working collaboratively with HR colleagues including a People Services Team, People Partnering Team and specialist areas such as L&D and Recruitment to deliver an exceptional service.

  • With a CIPD qualification, you're already working in a Business Partner role and will have sound generalist HR experience.
  • Extensive technical expertise in ER case management and having supported organisational change , you'll have an in-depth understanding of employment law as well as best practice.
  • Able to balance a reactive workload with medium-to-long term projects, you can influence decision making and design people initiatives whilst also ensuring operational outcomes.
  • Adept at using and presenting data to highlight issues, inform decisions and evidence the impact of people initiatives.
  • A strong communicator able to build trust and credibility quickly, you're able to coach, constructively challenge and support senior leaders.
  • A natural collaborator and at your best working in a team, you can work at pace and navigate a matrixed environment with ease.
