Joining a Legal500 firm with a global presence, this firm is now seeking an employment associate solicitor to its Employment Team in Edinburgh.
This permanent hybrid role offers a chance to work with various high-profile clients across sectors like retail, transport, and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Support transactions across different sectors, including international projects
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Advise on day-to-day employment law issues
- Defend employment tribunal litigation
- Contribute to business development and speak at conferences
- Contribute to thought leadership and raise the firm's profile externally
Ideal candidates will have experience in:
- Employment tribunal claims, advising on grievances and disciplinaries
- TUPE, outsourcing agreements, restructuring, and redundancies
- Employment support work like drafting due diligence reports and negotiating warranties
- Legal research on employment issues
- Drafting and reviewing staff handbooks, contracts, policies, and procedures
- Client seminars and training
- Business development
