An excellent opportunity has risen for an established Financial Firm based near Chelmsford. They provide high-quality financial and investment planning service across the whole market. Due to expansion and an internal promotion, my client is looking to take on a Financial Administrator with 18 months + experience working within Wealth Management.

Our client place value their staff and offer a clear career progression plan with study support and recognition for the work undertaken. My client is an independent financial advice business who have built a lasting reputation for providing the highest levels of advice on Pensions, Investments, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning, IHT, Trusts, Mortgages, and some Protections to clients across their Essex and London based clients.

The firm has 9 Advisors and circa 25 staff overall, they are open to recruiting a junior or a senior. The role will be based in the office 3 days per week after training.

They are looking for someone who is flexible and confident to provide their input as the team continues to develop and grow.

I am looking for a candidate with previous technical experience in a Financial Administrator or Paraplanner role. Ideally you will come from an independent firm of Financial Advisers.

The Role: Financial Administrator

  • Fully analyse clients' requirements, help Advisers develop cash flow

models and accurately record client data.

  • Research and analyse financial products to meet client requirements.

  • Preparing the CFR, Advice set and technical file notes.
  • Construct financial planning solutions (mainly investments & retirement

planning- New monies and working towards replacement) supported by

the production of computer models and reports.

  • Prepare suitability letters and reports (liaising with administrators),

  • Arrange client Drawdown review packs, along with producing income.

Your main role will involve research and report writing and as such all candidates.

  • Experience working within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management Firm is essential.
  • An understanding of paraplanning with knowledge around Suitability report writing is desirable.
  • Progress towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Personable professional who is comfortable dealing with clients both written and verbally.
  • A good understand and knowledge around pensions and investments.

Essentially the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, and to always have the clients' best interests in mind in all aspects of this Financial Administrator position.
