Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with severe Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Stockport. This role focuses on providing tailored support to a child with severe SEND requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with severe SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
- Utilise the school's outstanding outdoor resource base to create engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster a positive, nurturing environment.
- Apply Team Teach techniques to manage and support behaviour effectively.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
- Team Teach training is a must.
- Ideally, candidates will have experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
