Clinical Negligence Solicitor Re-Train

My client are a renowned, national law firm, with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a solicitor or equivalent case handler with solid claimant clinical negligence/serious PI experience to join their busy Clinical Negligence Department on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be dealing solely with claimant clinical negligence cases you will be responsible for a varied caseload including complex, high value claims both pre and post issue. It is essential you are a fully qualified Solicitor/FCILEx or an experienced case handler equivalent with experience of working on a litigated clinical negligence /serious PI caseload.

As a Clinical Negligence solicitor you will be dealing with a full range of values up to £200k. There will also be opportunities for teamwork on high value claims with seniors. You will be taking over an existing caseload. The team is 17 strong and exclusively claimant clin neg. Everyone has their own dedicated supervisor, weekly team meetings, weekly personal 121's and a very friendly team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own caseload of litigated clinical negligence claims;
  • To supervise within the group under the direction of the Group Leader and support of your line manager;
  • To participate in team training and marketing activities;
  • To use the group's case management procedures, adhere to SLA's, achieve targets for billed costs, time utilisation, telephony and case management to-do's amongst others.

Skills/Competencies required:

This is a busy and demanding role and a high standard of performance is expected. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal sensitively with clients and professionally with your colleagues, experts, barristers, defendant representatives, our insurance partners and Courts etc.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and motivated to work within clinical negligence. You will be keen to achieve the best possible outcome for your client.
