Financial Controller

- Salary: Up to £55,000
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a growing construction company based in Medway. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with an attractive salary of up to £55,000. The ideal candidate will be immediately available and bring a wealth of construction industry experience, as well as experience in managing staff as the role may require it from time to time.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the financial operations of the company and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial planning and strategy.
- Analyse and report on financial performance and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure that financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, potentially overseeing their work.
- Work closely with management to share reports and analysis findings.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Immediate availability to start the contract.
- Significant experience in the construction industry.
- Experience managing staff and leading a team.
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software and excellent Excel skills.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is desirable.
