Leading East Sussex Charity. The Manager, Financial Control is a skilled and experienced management accountant who will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and presenting financial reports that reflect the company's financial status.
Description
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide regular updates to management on financial status and projections
- Reporting on cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in pricing decisions by analysing cost data and profitability metrics
- Assist in producing financial models and dashboards for management reporting.
- Prepare and present detailed management reports to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Manage software updates to the financial systems so that it is up to date and legally compliant.
- Overseeing weekly batch and payment runs and actioning on financial systems
- Drives commercial growth and maximises potential while upholding Southdown's values and principles and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provides support for organisational projects as required.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager or other designated Senior Staff.
- Analyse financial performance and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare monthly management accounts pack
- Produce the quarterley and annual financual statements
- Conduct variance analysis to comparte actual results with budgets and forecasts
Profile
- Proficiency in accountancy software and tools.
- Professional Accounting Certification e.g. ACCA, ACA or CIMA
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
- Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Financial Reporting: Understand financial statements, reporting standards, and disclosure requirements.
- Audit and Assurance: Comprehend audit processes and risk assessment.
- Taxation: Familiarise yourself with tax laws and regulations.
- Strategic Thinking: Understand business context and strategy
