What will you be doing?

  • Report to the Asset Manager and oversee the management, equipping, and skilling of shift operating teams and day operators in the Asset Area.
  • Ensure teams are capable of delivering and achieving operational performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee and ensure efficient and effective operations, including adherence to the daily schedule, "Delivering the Plan," and maintaining product quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to the annual and monthly planning processes and ensure successful execution of the plan.
  • Identify and address deviations from the plan, extracting learnings to improve future performance.
  • Support the planning and coordination of operational aspects during plant turnarounds, ensuring minimal plant downtime through effective collaboration with other departments.

Our client is a major player in the UK's road transport fuel sector, providing key materials for the petrochemical industry and investing in low carbon fuel development. They are a major supplier in the North West and beyond and are also involved in innovative energy projects aimed at achieving regional low carbon goals and national targets. With over 800 skilled employees, safety is paramount, and they offer technically challenging work and some of the best training in the energy industry.

What will you need?

  • Minimum ONC/HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Significant COMAH experience with a strong technical background.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience.
  • Full UK driving licence with right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
