Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting an excellent manufacturing group in the West Midlands with the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Over the last few years, this well-established group has acquired several leading UK brands within the sector and their assimilation is seen as a huge contributor to future growth.
Your new role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and consistent financial data whilst maintaining efficient system operations across the group.
Key duties:
- Support, prepare and manage financial data for month-end management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support Senior Management
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory requirements
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives and enhancements in procedures and ERP processes
- Treasury including cash forecasting, cash modelling and risk assessments
- Bank reconciliations and control
- Intercompany maintenance and reconciliation
- Quarterly and yearly audit involvement
What you'll need to succeed
- Newly qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) - if part-qualified, you will be actively studying towards the completion of your qualification
- Previous management accounting experience
- Manufacturing background (highly desirable)
- Analytically minded with an insightful approach to data
- Proactive with a willingness to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with financial software and systems
