Job Summary:

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in mathematics, catering to a range of abilities across various year groups. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students across different year groups.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Implement the school's behavior policy effectively to maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to develop curriculum and share best practices for effective teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to support continuous improvement and contribute to the broader school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field is required.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and challenging learning environment.
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
