We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Careers Advisor to join a post 16 education establishment on a temporary term time only basis. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to our post-16 students, helping them navigate their career options and make informed decisions about their futures.
Careers Advisor
- Location: South East London
- Start Date: After half term
- Duration: Temporary ongoing ( term time only )
- Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4 days per week)
Key Responsibilities for the IAG Advisor :
- Provide one-on-one career support to students
- Assist students with job applications, CV writing, and interview preparation
- Organize and conduct career workshops and events
- Liaise with local employers and educational institutions to create opportunities for students
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour market trends and educational pathways
Qualifications and Skills required for the Careers Advisor role :
- Proven experience as a Careers Advisor or in a similar role
- To hold a recognised IAG qualification level 4 or DIPCG
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of current career trends and job market information
- Relevant qualifications in career guidance
