£75K + 20% Bonus

Central London (15 month contract)

My client is a fast growing Multi-National Real Estate company based in Central London and are looking for a Finance Manger to join the team to cover maternity.

Duties Include:

  • Responsible for Corporate Accounting across Europe, including monthly financial reporting that includes accurate and timely variance analysis commentary.
  • Working with Financial Controller to ensure monthly reporting packs are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of all operating expenses including payroll on a monthly basis and providing monthly updates to the FP&A team on potential risk and opportunities.
  • Will be the Lead Finance resource on implementation of new payroll system, working closely with UK and US payroll teams and external consultants to deliver on time by Q1 of 2025.
  • Working closely with the FP&A team and the relevant business and finance owners during the reforecast and Business Plan cycles.
  • Responsible for compliance reporting including EU country VAT submissions and Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR) in Ireland.
  • Implement process and procedural improvements to streamline work, increase productivity, and maintain service and quality excellence.
  • Prepare financial transactions and information in preparation for entry into various financial statements and accounting reports by checking calculations, reviewing basis for figures, balancing and reconciling figures, and making exceptions as necessary.
  • Review and approve weekly supplier payments, provided by the AP Support.
  • Checks, approves and authorises exceptions to bank reconciliations and transfers for deposit and ensures accuracy.
  • Assisting with development and implementation of accounting control procedures.
  • Maintain close working relationship with external auditors across UK and European entities and manage the audit deadlines and acts as liaison to internal and external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to requests from owners, business leaders, community managers, and others related to financial reports, statements, and established budgets.
  • Completes various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations packs are completed for each region.
  • Work with the Financial Controller to enhance and document Corporate Finance policies and procedures and put controls in place.

Requirements:

  • Good level of general education with strong written and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Good understanding of VAT and Company Structures
  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant
  • Experience leading year end audit processes.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting procedures and double entry book-keeping
  • Working knowledge of GAAPs within the Real Estate sector
