Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE in Music Education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting
  • Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Responsibilities

  • Encourage, develop interest, and engage students in Music and learning.
  • Deliver captivating and exciting lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular music activities, including choirs, bands, and school concerts.
  • Providing engaging and interactive lessons
  • Communicating with parents and carers over children's progress and participating in departmental meetings and parents' evenings
