Empowering Learning is excited to announce that we are recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire starting in September 2024.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teachers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes and ensuring students remain on task with the work set by their teachers.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assisting students with their work and responding to any questions they may have.
- Providing feedback to the regular teacher about the progress and behaviour of students during their absence.

Requirements:
- Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, but not essential. Prior experience in a similar role or working with young people is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for working with young people.
- Clearance: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role (we can assist with the application process).
