Lower KS2 Teacher - Birkenhead

We are looking for a full-time Lower KS2 Teacher for a well-respected primary school in the Wallasey area of the Wirral. The school is well known for its investment in the local community and high standards of teaching and learning. The post will run for one year starting in September 2024. Candidates must have previous experience of teaching lower key stage 2 classes, and the school will consider any scale of teacher, including ECTs.

Your new role
As a lower KS2 Teacher in the school, you will have full teaching responsibility for your class, including planning and delivering high-quality, creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents, including attending parents' evenings. You will also have the opportunity of involvement in extracurricular activities, and in the wider life of the school.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Lower KS2 Teacher role, you will need to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Experience of teaching lower key stage 2 classes
  • Evidence of delivering pupil progress through innovative and creative teaching
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
