Occupational Therapist

Are you an Occupational Therapist seeking a new Permanent challenge? Do you have previous experience working with Adults and Adolescents with complex Mental Health Issues?

Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with our established client to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist in the North London area. The service is a specialist independent day school for Adults and Adolescents who have complex Mental Health Issues within an Acute Ward and Low Secure Ward environment.

As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will be managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across the CAMHS and Adult services, using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.

Job Purpose: Occupational Therapist

Salary: £45,000 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-time | 37.5 Hours | Permanent
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
  • Working to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies under the strategic direction of the Therapy Lead and other members of the Senior Management Team.
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient management of Occupational Therapists , Occupational Therapist Assistants and students.
  • Planning and implementing individual and group interventions collaboratively with Service users.

Essential

    • Registered with the HCPC
  • Substantial experience working within Mental Health

  • Experience of inpatient work

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy

  • 3 years post Qualifying experience

  • Substantial experience working with Children & Younger People
