Senior Network Engineer

Job Purpose:
- To support and install company provided products and services used by customers
- To assist the Key Accounts sales account managers in the selling of technical solutions to business customers
Main Accountabilities:
- Design & Install network products and solutions for Key Account customers
- Assist in the provision of support for Key Account customers who have purchased solutions and services
- Assist the sales team in understanding the target products for a particular solution sale
Key Accountabilities
PreSales & Design
- Work with each Key Account sales manager, as requested, to ensure that professional and technically correct responses are promoted for each proposal to a customer, including creation of suitable bills of materials and supplier liaison
- Ensure that proposals to customers include suitable information about the installation work required, pre-requisites and caveats
- Other PreSales tasks as assigned
Support
- Provide periodic telephone and email based support to both customers and team colleagues, keeping suitable records within the case management system and escalating as appropriate
- Maintain close contact with customers during the lifecycle of their support calls
- Document solutions for use in the case management system or on the website
- Ongoing commitment to technical certification and recertification
- Other support tasks as assigned
Installations
- Organise and/or conduct the installation of products and services for customers, at their premises if required
- Provide advice, assistance, and guidance during audit or site visits
- Provide suitable internal and customer-facing documentation for installed products and services
- Other installation tasks as assigned
Required Qualification/Certifications
- Demonstrable certifications with a mainstream vendor as appropriate to a senior network engineer
Broader Contribution to the Company
- Suggest improvements to team and company processes, procedures, and platforms
- Actively contribute to team meetings
- Generate and Improve content on Team Intranet and documentation sites
- Assist in mentoring team members and helping them improve their technical knowledge and certification
- Develop and promote good working relationships with other departments within the company
