Description
The responsibilities for the Head of Internal Communications will include:
- Develop and implement an internal communications strategy aligned with company goals
- Create engaging content for a variety of internal communication mediums
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure consistency in messaging
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications
- Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement
- Manage crisis communications when necessary
- Coordinate internal events to promote company culture
- Oversee the internal communications budget
- Management of 2 direct reports
- Working closely with the marketing and brand team in developing the firms ESG strategy
- Travelling to sites nationally when required for key events and initiatives
Profile
A successful 'Head of Internal Communications' should have:
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 8+ years experience in Internal Communications Management, ideally at a Head of Level.
- Experience in managing a communications team
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders, and manage relationships upwards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A proven track record in developing and implementing effective communication strategies
- Experience in project management and event planning
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
