St. Edward's School, located on 100 stunning acres in the north of Oxford, blends traditional Victorian architecture with modern facilities. The estate comprises of classrooms, boarding houses, staff accommodation, sports complexes, theatres, and art spaces all maintained by a dedicated team of semi-skilled and experienced tradespeople. An opening has now arisen for a Bricklayer to join the Maintenance Team.

As a Maintenance Bricklayer, you will play a vital role in the upkeep and enhancement of the school's estate. This includes performing routine maintenance, carrying out masonry tasks, and undertaking various installations and repairs. You will work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with the Estates Department to ensure a first-class learning environment.

We seek a candidate with relevant qualifications, such as NVQ2 or City & Guilds in Bricklaying. A full UK driving license is desirable. Demonstrable experience in a similar role or within the construction industry is essential, along with a solid understanding of masonry materials, techniques, and tools. Proficiency in English and basic IT skills are required, with training provided for the maintenance helpdesk and email systems. The ideal candidate will be committed to safeguarding children, continuous professional development, and the school's aims and values. You should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team with a flexible approach to tasks.
