Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with
active DV clearance
to join our team for a major technology transition initiative. This is a contract role anticipated to last up to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Architecture:
-
Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.

Develop and document network standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security best practices are implemented.

Network Transition:
-
Lead and coordinate the migration of network infrastructure to new technologies and platforms.
-
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the transition.
-
Develop and execute detailed migration plans and schedules.
-
Network Troubleshooting and Support:
-
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
-
Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.
-
Provide technical support to end-users.
-
Security and Compliance:
-
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure.
-
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
-
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
-
Active DV Clearance: Essential. Please do not apply without it.

Extensive Cisco Experience: Demonstrated expertise in Cisco networking technologies.

CCNP or CCIE Certification: Essential. Other cisco related certificates beneficial

Strong Technical Skills:
-
Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)

Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)

Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime)

Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python)

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and identify optimization opportunities.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
-
Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI)
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Additional certifications in network engineering (e.g., JNCIP, HCNP)
