A dynamic scale-up SaaS enterprise, revolutionising their industry, has experienced rapid expansion in recent years, with projections indicating a doubling of turnover in the next two years. In preparation for this exciting phase of growth, they seek their first Financial Controller to work closely with and support the executive team.

This represents an exceptional opportunity for a Finance Manager

eager to embrace increased accountability or an established Financial

Controller with a track record in high-growth environments, adept at assembling

finance teams and delivering strategic insights through insightful analysis and

reporting.

Your day to day:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to streamline processes and enhance controls throughout financial operations.
  • Assist in crafting and upholding the company's financial and accounting procedures and policies to fortify a robust control framework.
  • Develop, oversee, and present the company's financial model to steer future fundraising efforts and guide overall business strategy.
  • Take the lead in business budgeting and forecasting, facilitating short, medium, and long-term planning in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and establish relevant KPIs and SaaS metrics for reporting.
  • Offer support to the broader leadership team in achieving their goals, including detailed product and customer analytics and thorough working capital assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to tax, payment, and licensing regulations.
  • Condense budget trends, analyse gaps, and communicate variances to executives.
  • Oversee tax preparation internally or liaise with external tax specialists.
  • Play a pivotal, on-demand role in formulating proposals for commercial opportunities.

What we're looking for:

In a scaling business, mindset is paramount. It

thrives on a collaborative, hands-on ethos, offering an environment where you

can visibly see the direct results of your efforts. As the first person in finance, you'll be a qualified Accountant, you won't need to know everything, but a desire to learn and the confidence to find the answers will get you far in this business. Experience in the sector is not essential, but ideally you'll understand the complexities of a recurring revenue business and will have worked in a similar setting.
