Bookkeeper (Temp to Perm) - Part-Time - Luton
We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and supportive business in Luton, looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a part-time, temp-to-perm basis.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident handling a wide range of bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end support. You'll need to be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision and enjoy working in a friendly, down-to-earth team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable: invoice processing, supplier liaison, and payment runs
- Handling accounts receivable: posting and reconciling customer receipts
- Performing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining the cashbook
- Supporting with month-end processes: journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
- Ensuring accurate financial record keeping and documentation
- Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries
What We're Looking For:
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
- Confident using accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, or similar
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
- A self-starter who works well independently and as part of a small team
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
