Our client is a leading international supplier of innovative Wellbeing & Bodycare products. They offer a complete range of products including Skincare, Haircare, Bath & Body, Fine Fragrance and Home Fragrance. Turnover is growing rapidly and is currently £25M+ and covers the UK, North America, Europe, and Australasian markets.

The company has ambitious plans and a strategy to match to deliver fast long-term growth. At the core of the organization is the production facility that manufactures over 15million units from a 120k sq ft site in East Anglia.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the group during an exciting period of ambitious international expansion. The group has strategic plans for rapid growth, and they are seeking a dynamic Warehouse & Logistics Manager to help drive this growth and be part of their success journey.

Job Purpose:

  • Ensure timely delivery of all customer orders, boosting OTIF across the site.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure prompt delivery of goods to the warehouse.
  • Enhance stock accuracy to over 99% within the Finished Goods warehouse.
  • Drive efficiency through warehouse improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch all orders in full and on schedule.
  • Manage warehouse staffing, including agency personnel, to optimize picking processes.
  • Enhance and maintain stock accuracy in the finished goods warehouse.
  • Monitor performance using KPIs and propose projects to improve line speeds.
  • Report any logistics plan deviations to relevant departments.
  • Cultivate and oversee relationships with external logistics agencies.
  • Ensure staff are adequately trained to cover absences and implement SOPs for each warehouse role.

Agency Staff:

  • Coordinate with designated agencies to maintain optimal staffing levels using KPIs.
  • Approve agency timesheets and ensure all agency staff receive proper safety induction.

Team & Training:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan based on GAP analysis.
  • Implement personal development plans to enhance warehousing productivity.
  • Set KPI targets for warehouse staff and collaborate on improvement plans to boost output.

Health & Safety:

  • Uphold a safe working environment and address any safety breaches promptly.
  • Propose improvement plans to enhance warehouse safety responsibilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Propose and implement improvement and machinery plans to enhance warehouse efficiency in picking and transportation.
  • Conduct LEAN analysis to identify opportunities for warehouse improvements.

Person Specification:

  • Strong time management and planning abilities.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and applications.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective problem-solving skills in production environments.
  • Over 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Possess Reach/Counterbalance FLT Licenses.
