Sheridan Maine is excited to partner with a well known and thriving client based in Southampton to recruit for an Assistant Accountant.
Joining a welcoming and supportive team environment within the finance department, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transactional finance. Study support is available for the successful candidate.
As the Assistant Accountant, key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing key information for the monthly management accounts pack.
- Month end accounts and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Bank account reconciliation.
- Assisting with sales & purchase ledger when required.
- Reconcile payments and resolve queries.
- Prepayments.
- Assist with VAT returns.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- AAT qualified or working towards the qualification.
- Proven working experience in accounting and finance.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Motivated and excels in a fast-paced environment.
- Driven to meet deadlines and targets, demonstrating a strong desire to succeed.
- Intermediate Excel skills for effective data management.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
