Planned Maintenance Technician (Electrical or Mechanical)

Shift - 0800 to 1600 Mon to Fri

Salary - Up to £40k

DK Recruitment are working with a global Medical Manufacturer who are looking to offer an experienced and qualified Electrical or Mechanical Planned Maintenance Technician a new career and join their successful team based in Plymouth.

The role will require you to be responsible for maintaining equipment through performing regular PM tasks and other maintenance activities required to the maintenance plan.

This role willing requires a flexible approach to working schedule as needed to perform essential planned maintenance activities and optimise equipment availability.

Main Duties:

  • Maintain equipment by performing AM/PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on-time and executed according to the plan.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented.
  • Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned.
  • Support the organisation and preparation of spare parts and other applicable materials required to complete maintenance tasks for planned maintenance periods and equipment rebuild program.
  • Attend during plant shut down periods to perform maintenance activities.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing unit technical teams as required to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Assist with technical development and training opportunities for unit technical staff on all shifts.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education & Experience:

  • Level 3 in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) is a distinct advantage.
  • 5 years' experience in a fast-paced automated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, whilst coaching and mentoring team members on technical elements.
  • Abilities to troubleshoot complex machinery and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical practises.
  • Experience with control system or robotic and automation is a distinct advantage.
