STUDIO ASSISTANT

THE ROLE

We're a B Corp furniture and lighting company looking for an engaged and enthusiastic studio assistant to liaise with our clients and enable the efficient running of our studio. You anticipate client needs and excel at organising and refining sales and project management processes. You work collaboratively with other team members including the workshop team, to communicate important information with the relevant people quickly, accurately and concisely.

You take a solution-oriented approach to everyday tasks and show determination to learn about design and provide excellent customer service. You will help develop our 100-year plan, our RE-MCaftercare programme. and contribute to our ESG goals.

The studio assistant role touches on sales, design processes, project management, production and delivery as well as the administration of the business, so we're looking for an all-rounder with a love of learning.

£24-27k + profit share + benefits 37.5 hours per week (typically 9am-5pm Monday to Friday)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating and providing excellent service to our clients via email, phone and face-to-face.
  • Preparing made to measure and bespoke sales quotes & invoices for clients using Xero.
  • Briefing our CAD team on client designs and ensuring samples/drawings are signed off by the client at the start of a project.
  • Ensuring projects are briefed to the workshop accurately and all updates are recorded in our organisational software, Monday.com
  • Booking projects into the workshop schedule and keeping on top of lead times.
  • Ability to work to multiple, sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Assisting with sales planning.
  • Creating sales resources for clients both digital and physical.
  • Keeping our website up to date.
  • Contributing to HR, finance and health, safety and wellness tasks.
  • Completing tasks to achieve ESG goals.
  • Providing highly organised ad hoc administrative support.

As a third-generation antique dealer, Matthew has distilled his knowledge into a versatile collection of made to measure pieces which complement our ever-changing selection of antiques.

We work in Stamford, Lincolnshire which is regularly named as one of the best places to live in the UK. The studio is located in a 17th century townhouse and our furniture is made in and around a 1930s Dutch barn with views of Rutland fields.
