An excellent opportunity for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time - Permanent.

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Location: Leeds LS11.

About The Role:

Due to a full order book and increased workload, the company are now looking for a Bench Hand Joiner to expand their team. They are a manufacturer of high-quality bespoke furniture based on the outskirts of Leeds working very closely with interior designers throughout the UK, manufacturing furniture for luxurious projects such as Penthouses, Luxury Apartments, Private Clients and Hotels.

Your responsibilities will include the manufacturing and assembly of furniture using specifications and technical drawings. You will be working in their joinery workshop alongside other experienced joiners, and you will be responsible for ensuring that high-quality standards are met. On occasion site visits may be required as they install their own furniture.

The successful applicant will need to be able to read technical drawings, and maintain a high standard of workmanship. The applicant must have their own hand tools and have experience of using and setting up handheld power tools. A knowledge of the most common fixed joinery machinery found in the machine shop would also be preferred

Experience / Qualifications needed:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or Cabinetmaker.
  • Experience in high quality bench-joinery manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and woodworking principles.
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience in joinery workshop.
  • Must have own basic hand tools.
  • Driving license preferred but not essential.
  • CSCS Card useful but not essential.
