Job Title: HGV Service Advisor
Location: South Preston
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and efficient manner, both in person and by telephone.
Assess customers' needs and book trucks for repair or service work.
Prepare job cards for the workshop team.
Communicate repair progress to the Workshop Foreman and provide updates to the customer.
Maintain company databases to ensure accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle history.
Assist with invoicing and perform general administrative duties.
We are currently seeking a HGV Service Advisor to join our client's Automotive HGV team on a temporary basis. As a Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and providing excellent customer service throughout the repair or service process.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in HGV service administration, with strong organisational and communication skills. You will be responsible for greeting customers in a friendly and efficient manner both in person and by telephone, assessing their needs, and booking trucks for repair or service work.
In addition, you will prepare job cards for the workshop team, communicate repair progress to the Workshop Foreman, and provide updates to the customer at all stages of the repair. Maintenance of company databases, including accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle history, will also be part of your responsibilities.
To excel in this role, you should have a keen attention to detail, a professional and customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to work well within a team. Strong administrative skills and experience with invoicing will be advantageous.
