What's the role and who are we looking for?

The role is part of a well-respected, successful and growing business development (BD) team . The team leads and implements all marketing, sales and client development programmes within LCP, and plays a key role in developing and delivering the firm's strategy.

The Marketing Executive will work with other members of the BD team to deliver integrated and impactful campaigns. You will work on a range of marketing plans and campaigns including content, events, client relationship development, and brand driven campaigns. This role has huge scope to develop along with the skills and interests of the successful candidate.

We're looking for someone who understands a wide range of marketing and business development tactics, who has a curious mind and loves working as part of a team, collaborating with other marketing specialist to deliver projects.

What would you be doing?

  • Working with partners and other members of the BD team to deliver effective marketing and BD plans and activities, using a wide range of tactics and channels
  • Executing and managing a variety of BD activities, such as events, webinars and podcasts, market research, literature and report production, content drafting, award submissions, internal and external communications, and lead generation
  • Managing the delivery of projects and tasks including taking briefs, diary management and logistics, follow up, measuring return on investment, and ensuring internal stakeholder buy in at all stages
  • Developing integrated and innovative marketing and sales support campaigns which reach the right people with the right message at the right time
  • Supporting the campaign delivery aspects of our brand campaigns, working closely with the Marketing Communications team
  • Drafting marketing and sales support materials such as emails, flyers, briefing notes, web copy, brochures, event literature, presentations, social media posts and blogs
  • Monitor competitor activity and produce regular competitor updates

What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?

  • Prior experience in a business development / marketing role, preferably within B2B professional or financial services
  • An understanding of when and how to use a wide variety of tactics from across the marketing mix to increase the external profile of the business which may include events, digital, thought leadership, content, market research, communications, product and message development, client targeting, acquisition and development
  • Good at working on more than one project simultaneously, while working to tight deadlines and staying calm under pressure
  • Excellent project management skills - prioritising, organising workload, planning, seeing project through to completion
  • Strong communication (written and spoken) and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage implementation through others
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work within a team effectively and collaboratively
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

It would be desirable if you have;

  • An understanding of financial, actuarial, consulting, investment and insurance markets would be valuable
  • Partnership experience
  • Experience and ability to use CRM databases, webinar platforms (ON24 in particular), content management systems and email marketing tools
  • Basic understanding of design software (ie InDesign) would also be useful
