Senior HR Advisor

Pertemps are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-known organisation based in Glasgow City Centre who have a requirement for a Senior HR Advisor to work with them on a 9 month fixed term contract. Salary for this role is up to £38k depending on experience.

You will assist the HR Manager and Head of HR to provide a proactive and effective HR service across all divisions of the business. The role will encompass all generalist HR duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advice and support to Managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations (taking into consideration both employment law and business objectives)
  • Coaching and guiding Managers on how to effectively deal with HR issues
  • Have a thorough understanding of HR law in particularly relating to contracts, terms and conditions, discrimination, maternity / paternity, dismissal processes, grievances, etc. and deal accordingly (and in a timeous manner) with any case management issues in relation to these
  • Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and revising and issuing procedures, policies and the Employee Handbook in line with best practice
  • Managing disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures
  • Presenting HR workshops to the wider business in partnership with the L&D Team
  • Managing and analysing a range of MIS data including absence data, trends and procedures (Bradford Factor), attrition and headcount reports
  • Assist the HR Advisor with the monitoring and management of the probationary review process
  • Assisting with exit interviews and on boarding questionnaire analysis where required
  • Health & Safety administration and recording
  • General HR administration and ad hoc requests for information
  • Providing cover for colleagues when necessary

You must have relevant HR experience and have worked in a similar role.
